This roadmap is worked out for hydrogen production foreseen in use cases in the Hyscaling project. It is based on the outcome of two virtual brainstorming sessions that helped identifying and prioritizing the needs for measurements related to green hydrogen production (via PEM and Alkaline electrolysis).
This report is a roadmap for the short (3 year) and long-term (10 year) that visualizes the way to reliable measurement and process control (system integration) of hydrogen production obtained by electrolysers. It also includes the measurement technologies that have the potential to be successfully implemented, taking into account the cost of this technology.
The ultimate purpose is to develop robust and reliable measurement systems at reasonable costs and low maintenance, that could be widely implemented in hydrogen production plants and that could lead to a better process control, improved hydrogen quality produced and at lower costs.
